Would you like to join the Equity Stripping Task Force? This task force is a coalition of legal services providers, attorneys, and community partners working to assist victims of predatory lending. This task force works with families who have been victims of unfair lending practices which seek to strip them of their homes. Equity Strippers primarily target poor families who are in financial straits and offer them promises of saving their homes and financial freedoms. The task force seeks to assist those who have fallen prey to these bad actors and provide them with legal assistance. Equity Stripping Task Force members are invited to attend monthly meetings to discuss cases and strategies. Members are also added to our Equity Stripping Task Force list serve which allows members to keep in touch and share information on an as needed basis.
