Full Representation Services

If a caller is financially eligible and needs help with the type of case VLN handles, VLN staff will search for a volunteer attorney to represent the caller for their court case. Some of the types of cases which VLN attorneys will assist with include: bankruptcy, family law, civil law, consumer law, and housing law.

VLN does not handle criminal, government benefit, personal injury, medical malpractice, or workers' compensation cases.

Legal Advice Clinics

VLN's five largest free clinics are listed below. At each clinic, you meet face-to-face with an attorney for 15-20 minutes who will answer your questions and/or refer you to other places for help. When you go to a VLN clinic, you will be screened for financial eligibility, except for some times at the Legal Access Point clinic.
