Tom is a Resource Attorney supporting volunteers helping clients with family law and bankruptcy issues.  As a Resource Attorney Tom provides one-on-one and programmatic support for volunteers taking family law and bankruptcy cases ensuring clients receives high quality legal services. His vision for VLN is that our clients receive the same level of service from a volunteer attorney as they would if they were able to pay an attorney.

Tom joined VLN in September of 2005 as an Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Attorney focusing his work on developing opportunities for volunteer attorneys and law students.  In 2007 Tom transitioned to his current role as a resource attorney.  Tom received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry (2000) and his J.D. (2004) from the University of Minnesota. 

Tom is a board member at Ascension Place, a non-profit in north Minneapolis providing short and long-term housing and services to at-risk women and families. Tom also won a blue ribbon from the Minnesota State Fair for Crop Art in 2007.
