Darielle Dannen
As Housing Resource Attorney, Darielle Dannen supports VLN’s housing programs including assisting volunteer attorneys, developing procedures and materials that ensure quality services, and creating settings that allow volunteers to assist low income clients. Housing programs include landlord tenant, and real estate law. Her work helps to ensure that VLN continues to provide quality services to low income clients with housing issues.
Darielle started working at VLN in 2006, after working at HOME Line representing low income clients with landlord tenant issues. Prior to her work at HOME Line, Darielle graduated from Hamline University School of law in 2003. While in law school, Darielle sought out opportunities to work on social justice issues, and has continued to pursue those opportunities today. Darielle is currently the Treasurer of HOME Line’s Board of Directors, and served as the Vice-President and on the Executive Committee of NARAL Pro-Choice MN. Darielle is additionally a member of National Association of Consumer Advocates.
In her spare time, Darielle runs distance events, knits, makes cheese, sails at Lake Calhoun, canoes, camps and backpacks. In the winter she can be found obsessing over the snow conditions and enjoys both cross country and downhill skiing. She has yet to go winter camping.
